Lane is a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist, with over 30 years of paediatric experience. She loves working with children and finds it rewarding to see their progress. She provides a comprehensive service, with personalised treatment solutions to enhance communication in a supportive environment.

 

Lane specialises in the assessment and treatment of toddlers, children and adolescents with communication disorders. She has varied paediatric experience including delays and disorders of:

developmental language

receptive language / understanding instructions

expressive language

articulation / phonology

phonological awareness / pre-reading

social language skills / pragmatics

autism spectrum disorder

hearing impairment

 

Early intervention is recommended and children can be assessed at any age. A thorough and personalised assessment gathers information from the child and or the family.  Informal and formal assessment and interpretation of the results form the basis of thetreatment plan.

 

She works closely with childcare centres, pre-schools, schools, community health centres, GPs and other professionals. Observation visits in centres and attendance at staff meetings are available in all these settings. Prep screening programs are available.

 

Rebates are available for Medicare programs (Team Care Plan/Enhanced Primary Care) and from all private health insurers.
